Michele Ferri (born 28 May 1981) is an Italian association football defender who currently plays for Italian club Pro Vercelli. ==Career== He grew up within the A.C. Milan youth system, but never played a full senior game for the ''rossoneri'', instead being sent on loan to several lower league teams, namely Cesena and Triestina. Ferri was sold to Triestina in co-ownership deal for 400 million lire (€206,583) in June 2002 along with Eder Baù (200 million lire) and Alessandro Budel (400 million lire).〔AC Milan SpA Report and Accounts on 30 June 2003 〕 In 2003 he was acquired by Serie B club Palermo, who then became league champions in 2004. Palermo acquired him for undisclosed fee and Triestina acquired the remain half of the contract from Milan in June 2003 for €2 million.〔 But after Palermo won promotion, he first team appearances limited to 15 games before joined Cagliari on 31 January 2006 for €1 million in another co-ownership deal.〔US Città di Palermo SpA Report and Accounts on 30 June 2006 〕 Ferri made his Serie A debut on 6 January 2005 for Palermo, against Reggina Calcio. In June 2007 Cagliari bought another half for €600,000.〔US Città di Palermo SpA Report and Accounts on 30 June 2007 〕 He joined Sampdoria in January 2009 for a peppercorn of €1,000.〔UC Sampdoria SpA Report and Accounts on 31 December 2009 〕 He just played twice in 2008–09 Serie A season for Cagliari in September against A.C. Siena and November against Calcio Catania before joined Sampdoria. He successively left the club on a free transfer, and joined Serie B outfit Vicenza later on September 2009.〔 〕 In November 2010, Ferri joined Atalanta in another free transfer.
